When there are so many places that offer training classes, why
choose Chesapeake Kennel Club?
Our Instructors have years of experience,
Most of our Instructors compete in AKC Obedience and
have successfully put titles on their own dogs.
Many of our Instructors are members of The Association
of Pet Dog Trainers
Our Instructors are well versed in the latest training methods and
believe in using positive methods as much as possible.
Our classes aren't a lure to get you in the door to purchase
other products and supplies.
Ours is a not-for-profit organization - we do this because
we care about dogs more than dollars

Prices for CKC classes vary according to the length of the class and whether the class is
taught by an instructor or whether the class consists of run-thrus where the students
participate by running each other thru. Classes which have instructors are more costly
because CKC instructors are paid. Every effort is made to keep class costs low and CKC class
prices are quite reasonable and lower than most clubs or commercial businesses. Some
classes require payment at the start of the class and payment is for the whole class session,
whether you come or not. Other classes use a Ticket Booklet which allows individuals to
choose which classes they will attend and only pay for those attended by use of the tickets.
Prices shown in the table above are our current rates and indicated whether the class is a
flat fee or if it uses Ticket Books. If there are any questions on class prices, please don't
hesitate to ask the CKC Training Director.

Puppy Kindergarten -- For puppies between 10 weeks and 24 weeks of
age only.As soon as your puppy is 10 weeks old, there is an urgent need
to play catch-up in terms of socialization and confidence building with
other dogs. Puppy classes allow your pup to develop canine social savvy
and learn basic obedience while playing with other puppies in a
nonthreatening and controlled setting. Shy and fearful pups quickly gain
confidence in leaps and bounds and bullies learn to tone it down and be
gentle.
